Soon after imposing baggage ban, Malaysian Airlines has lifted the ban on check-in baggage on flights to Paris and Amsterdam. Earlier this ban made most passengers to vent their rage.


Everyone took social media to post their anger. The ban was lifted in less than 24 hours after the airline announced that passengers cannot check-in baggage for Tuesday and Wednesday flights to the two European cities due to "unseasonably strong headwinds".


This was due to the reason that the flight path. It is long and the weather is not in favourable condition. The Airlines said the flights have to take a longer route to Europe via Egypt for safety concerns. The Airlines also said they have to operate against some strong headwinds which were in excess of 200 Knots.


They added that due to this the fuel burn will be increased by 15%. In an official statement they said, "Based on its current risk assessment, done on a daily basis, the airline is now able to take a shorter route on European flights. Safety of passengers matter most in our Airlines."
