Income Tax Officials have made a surprise visit to Apollo Hospital premises. They conducted searches on the premises of Apollo hospitals at Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi and other cities too. They conducted the search with respect to lots of complaints regarding Tax evasion.
A source said, IT made searches on 34 Apollo Hospital premises. The search started yesterday and it continues for the second day today. So far we heard from sources that there have been no concrete evidence based on Tax evasion.
An Apollo Hospital statement reads as, "The IT department visited our hospitals today and we extended our complete cooperation to them. We have always conducted ourselves with the highest degree of diligence and would like to reassure our patients, shareholders and stakeholders that we shall uphold their trust and faith in us."
An IT employee said, "We have been getting consistent complaints regarding the Hospital for past few days. Based on the inputs we started our search at all Apollo Hospital premises."
