Chennai was battered by the recently happened deluge. The whole city is shattered into pieces. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha also never bothered about bringing the city forward.


The whole city was submerged. Already Central Government provided Rs.2000 Crores as Emergency relief Fund. But Jayalalitha demanded for Rs.26,000 Crores. So in order to assess the situation, the central team came to Chennai. And to everyone's woes, they were drenched with lots of complaints in the relief work. Everyone blamed that the state Government never made any help.


The team went to Aathma Nagar in Saidapet and they met the residents who lost everything to floods. And the team was shocked as there were lots of other trouble too. Most huts were demolished.


The basic amenitieswere not provided. Manu inmates of Aathma Nagar complained of irregularities in the allotment of Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board (TNSCB) houses at Perumbakkam.The team also paid visit to Mylapore, Kotturpuram, Saidapet, Jafferkhanpet, Virugambakkam and Valasaravakkam.
