Usually we see a 'cold war' between politicians. Now Andhra Pradesh is witnessing 'cyclone war' that has erupted between the North Andhra and Central Andhra TDP leaders. This started during a meeting convened recently by the South Central Railway GM.

The meeting involved the MPs of Andhra Pradesh who were invited to discuss on Railway Budget proposals that were to be proposed for AP. As expected the MP’s hailing from North Andhra region had demanded SCR to announce a new railway zone in Vizag.

But Narasaraopeta MP Rayapati Samsashiva Rao countered this saying there is no such need to grant a separate railway zone for Vizag, saying the region prone to cyclones. This reportedly angered North Andhra leaders who accused of Central Andhra leaders like Rayapati of discrimination against North Andhra.

They warned that if this goes one, then the chances of Separate North Andhra State similar to Telangana may happen which is not that good for AP. North Andhra MPs Rammohan Naidu and Avanthi Srinivas thundered that even though Krishna and Guntur are frequently impacted by cyclones they never obstructed the proposal to construct new capital city of Amaravati!
