Chandrababu Naidu is completely focusing with the new capital Amaravati city. He already said that everyone must shift their base to Vijayawada leaving Hyderabad at stake. He said this should happen before June.
Now regarding the new capital he already asked all students and teachers to provide contribution of Rs.10. As per reports, there are 70,00,000 students and 300,000 teachers. Administration officials too collected the money by 10th January. This is an initiative under 'My Capital, My Amaravati, My Brick programme'.
This capital will be built on the banks of river Krishna in Guntur district. So far, 2.2 lakh people have contributed 52.9 lakh bricks for Amravati. Earlier it was said that the Government has forced students and teachers. But a school teacher said students themselves came forward and contributed willingly.
Recently an expert committee has confirmed that the new capital will cost around 27000 Crores and so far they have managed 1850 Crores. Chandrababu as said every person of the state should have a stake in the new capital and due to that, e-brick initiative was taken.
