Comedian Kiku Sharda was arrested by Haryana Police as he mocked Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. The news went viral and whole social media vented their anger against the decision.
Now Congress has hit against BJP Government and they have mentioned that comedians like Kiku Sharda should be awarded not arrested. Kiku Sharda is known for his famous TV show 'Comedy Nights with Kapil'. He was arrested by Haryana Police as a complaint was filed against him stating that he has hurt religious sentiments by mimicking the Dera Sacha Sauda.
Initially he was granted bail, but he was arrested once again with respect to second complaint. Now Abishek Singhvi who is the spokesperson of Congress said that Haryana Police should be ashamed for doing the arrest. He also took a hit against BJP Government and said the comedians should be awarded and not arrested.
Rishi Kapoor who is a veteran actor in Bollywood also supported the comedian. Apart from him other celebrities like Farah Khan, Kapil Sharma, Huma Qureshi and Vir Das showed their displeasure.
