The Kapu phobia is now haunting the Congress party finally with both the Telugu Desam Party and the opposition YSR Congress party competing each other while wooing this powerful community in the coastal Andhra.
TDP has been appeasing Power Star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan all the while to retain its hold over Kapus, while the YSR Congress party also started its wooing of the Kapu community by soon taking in the veteran director-actor Dasari Narayana Rao.
Apparently knowing that it may become biggest loser in the race, the bosses of Congress party are on their way towards doing something for attracting some part of this vote bank. Well the only strong Kapu leader who is still with Congress party is Rajya Sabha member Chiranjeevi.
In order to prevent any damage, the Congress high command is reportedly
contemplating elevating Chiranjeevi’s position offering him a prominent
position within the party. In this regard, Rahul Gandhi, the Congress
vice president seems to be keen on taking in Chiranjeevi into the
Congress Working Committee soon!
