Everyone are busy with GHMC elections. The polls are going to take place in few weeks. All parties have filed their nominations yesterday. Teachers were allotted the polling duty. Now this is where the trouble has popped up.
Performance of Students appearing for Class 10 may be affected as all teachers were asked to report for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) election duty. As per reports, GHMC has appointed 46545 volunteers from various government departments for the poll duty. In this 46545, 60% of them are allotted from Government schools.
Most of the teachers from districts such as Nalgonda, Medak and Mahbubnagar were called for GHMC polling duties. Regarding this Chava Ravi who is the General secretary of Telangana State United Teachers Federation said, "Polling duties is going to affect the performance of students.
We asked the government to exempt High school teachers from the Polling duties. But so far we have never got any response from the Government side. Time is running for both polls as well as exams."
