The suicide of Rohith in University of Hyderabad has sparked lots of protests. The whole state is fuming against the suicide. Opposite parties are mounting pressure on BJP government to sack Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya.

Police have booked Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Vice chancellor of University of Hyderabad, Mr.Appa Rao and two more members of the right-wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). The five dalit students were expelled soon after Dattaterya wrote a letter to Smriti Irani describing the UoH as, "Den of casteist, extremist and anti-national politics."

Now an organization of Student groups has launched an indefinite strike with respect to resignation of Vice chancellor. Arpita who is the leader of Joint Action Committee (JAC) said no classes will run until Vice chancellor steps down.

Lots of protesters were even arrested by the Police to avoid mishap. Yashaswi Mishra who is a member of an organization said, "We feel that this is an institutional murder. We always stand together. We are beyond caste, class and other biases."
