The suicide of Rohith Vemula is the most discussed topic in Political circles right now. Everyone started the blame game. Now Rajya Sabha Member V.Hanumantha Rao has lashed out Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani for ignoring his letter which he sent regarding the corruption in University of Hyderabad.
He said the incident would not have occurred if Smriti Irani responded to his letter on November 17, 2014. While speaking to media, Hanumantha Rao said, he addressed a letter as a University Court member to Smrithi Irani on November 17, 2014 about corrupt practices in University of Hyderabad.
But the letter got muted response. He said the letter was sent on November 17, 2014. He further added, "The same minister responded immediately as a letter was sent with respect to corruption in Vishwabharathi University.
She also said she will not tolerate corrupt practices in Central University. Then why she never responded to the early letter ? She has the power to take action. She is a Union Minister and not a letter writer."
