The vigilance department and Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested three men who were indulged in unauthorized sales of railway e-tickets and they charged huge price of Rs.2500 for every ticket purchased. The department seized e-tickets worth Rs.40,000.

Sushanta Kumar (29) and Gaurang Roy (42) and Prem Kumar (39) were arrested. The three own a company named John's Tours and Travels on Greams Road near Apollo Hospitals. An official from RPF said, "Vigilance department received more complaints about the illegal sale of tickets. The source was confidential. The illegal tickets were seized."

Another source said, they set a perfect trap. The Railway officer was sent as if to buy tickets. When the ticket was printed he walked out stating that he will take money from ATM. And the squad returned and arrested them red handed.

The official said, "For a ticket costing Rs 800, the accused would charge Rs 2,000 or more. Along with the e-ticket, they would give a bill as well." RPF officer said the accused will book ticket from his account and if the ticket gets cancelled, money would be credited to his account.
