India celebrated its 67th Republic day today. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Pranab Mukerjee watched the parade and they honoured the army personnel.

And now despite the heated tension between India and Pakistan over the recent Pathankot attack, the Border Security Forces and the Pakistani Rangers on Tuesday exchanged sweets on the occasion of India's 67th Republic Day. This exchange of sweets took place at the Attari - Wagah border in Amritsar in Punjab.

Defense personnel from both the countries shook hands and exchanged sweets. Initially Pakistani rangers refused to get the sweets which was offered by the BSF on the occasion of Eid in 2015. And later BSF also refused to offer any sweets to their opponents as a mark of showing their rage.

But today it was so heart warming to see the sweets were exchanged and the wishes were also conveyed. Pakistan gladly accepted the sweets and they were distributed to all the Army members. The images are being circulated wide on social media.
