DMDK Chief Vijayakanth has invited more number of applications from party members who ware interested to contest in the upcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Vijayakanth said any one who possess primary membership of the party are eligible to submit applications.
The application fee for general constituencies has been fixed at Rs 10,000, while it is Rs 5,000 for reserved constituencies. And for Puducherry, the fee for general constituencies is Rs 5,000 and Rs 2,500 for reserved constituencies.
Applications are expected to be submitted between February 5th and 14th. Vijayakanth in a press meet said, "I urge all the functionaries of districts, unions, towns, town panchayats, panchayats, wards and cadres to work for the massive victory of DMDK."
It should be noted that other parties such as ADMK, DMK and PMK have already invited applications to contest in the upcoming assembly elections.So far there has been a huge buzz in DMDK party office with respect to applications.
