Akshay Kumar's 'Airlift' is based on the evacuation of Indians after the 1990 invasion of Kuwait by Iraq. The movie which released on January 22nd opened to positive critics and reviews. Now the diplomats are seeing the movie with sheer anger.

Officials at the Embassies of Kuwait and Baghdad and others from Foreign Ministry believe that they were portrayed as villains in the movie. The movie which was written and directed by Raja Menon showed that diplomats left Kuwait when they came to know about the trouble.

With the embassy shutting down, it is left to a band of local businessmen including Akshay Kumar to organize a refugee camp. This also resulted in the biggest evacuation where 1.8 Lakh Indians were evacuated.

The only person from Government to help the persons was Sanjeev Kohli. He tries to help them from the pressures around. Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and few others were shown in wrong light. Now due to this there has been a spark in the embassy.
