By 2013, Eight men were found guilty of gang raping and murdering a 20 Year old woman at Kamduni Village in West Bengal. The accused were arrested immediately and they were brought before Justice. But still now they were not punished.


Now after two long years, the court has promised to  pronounce the quantum of punishment. The 20 Year old girl was attacked by a gang when she was retiring home from College on June 7, 2013. The girl was studying second year BA.


She was forcibly taken inside a factory where she was gang raped and then brutally murdered. This issue became a National one and it caused more outrage. There were lots of protests everywhere. Police recovered her body and it was disfigured with injuries all over.


The incident created a storm and her friends and relatives demanded speedy Justice and capital punishment. The villagers themselves caught one of the key accused who goes by the name Ansar Ali. As the case was so sensitive, Mamata Banerjee government handed it over to the state police’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
