Recently an infant was bitten to death by rats in Guntur Government Hospital. Everyone lashed out at the safety measures prevailing in a Government hospital. There was a huge pressure on the Health Minister and even media took a hit against the Minister.
Opposition parties also started to make a mockery of the minister's attitude. So he immediately decided to make an operation in Government hospital. He himself was suffering from osteoarthritis and he frankly announced that his Right Knee will be operated in Guntur Government Hospital (GGH).
He hoped that this could help him get some confidence among the public. He also made it a big issue and media also blown the news. The operation took place on January 23rd. Now YSRCP revealed that the Ministers used the help of private hospitals for the surgery.
The Health Minister who was shocked by this has made a stupid response. He said, "If a teacher from ‘Mumbai Public School’ gets paid to come and teach for a day at the government school in Nalgonda, does it mean that the quality of the government school has improved overnight?"
