Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Coimbatore on February 2nd to dedicate a Medical College attached to ESI. With respect to the visit of Modi, right now more than 5500 Police personnel are put up on security duty across Coimbatore.
Police are working round the clock and they have already diverted the roads. Bomb detectors and dogs are patrolling the area. 500personnel will be on position in the vicinity of the Airport. PM Modi is expected to reach the city by 2 to 3pm.
Police completely brought the Government guest house, Circuit house under tight security. Police made necessary arrangements as PM Modi needs to go there in case of a small break. At the same time, there are a large number of intelligence wings across the city.
Police said they will continue to regulate the traffic to ensure smooth movement of VVIP. Intelligence and commandos are also at Coimbatore and they are checking the areas to make sure everything is fine. Modi also makes this as a initiation for upcoming assembly elections.
