TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu who wanted national level charisma to aid his win in 2014 elections, allied with BJP after a gap of decade. Although BJP secured its own majority, still out of goodwill and pre-poll alliance, it offered ministries for TDP at the Centre.
But this is not the case with TRS. Although it fought against BJP, after elections, there have been reports of TRS repeatedly trying to join NDA and fulfil the ministerial ambitions at centre for KCR’s daughter Kavitha, the TRS MP from Nizamabad.
Now with the BJP more or less becoming clear about its position and also about that of its ally TDP, there are reports that realizing TRS to be the force to reckon with, NDA may agree to take TRS at the Centre anytime soon.
But this needs a go ahead from Modi as he is seen to be not that keen on TRS while the BJP cadre in Telangana may be willing to go with TRS. At the same time, TRS has to pacify its Muslim voters and also distance itself from MIM to make any moves towards joining NDA!
