There is a famous saying in Telugu: 'Aththa kottinanduku kaadu, thoti kodalu navvinanduku' which means the daughter-in-law had cried not because she was beaten by her mother-in-law, but she was laughed at by her co-sister.
The Telugu Desam Party leaders in Telangana are now displaying more or less this attitude now following their debacle in the recently held Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections. They are not upset about securing one seat in the 150-member Corporation.
But they are pained now that its arch rival, the YSRCP headed by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is fully and joyously celebrating the outcome of GHMC polls. Jagan camp leaders are in jubilant mood with TRS making a clean sweep of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections securing 99 out of 150 seats.
Jagan’s men are very happy that the TRS has now taught a fitting lesson to the TDP in the last stronghold of Hyderabad with GHMC elections, inspite of Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh and several ministers from Seemandhra campaigning for TDP.
