The win in GHMC elections has definitely escalated Information Technology and Panchayat Raj Minister K.T.Rama Rao to a new level. He took the responsibility of GHMC polls and he also gave the taste of victory to them.
State Governor ESL Narasimhan has now allocated him additional portfolio of municipal administration and urban development. K.T.Rama Rao is also the president of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). Recently there was a huge buzz when Kavitha said that KTR is the heir of K.Chandrasekar Rao.
This came just after TRS achieved a historic win in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections. It bagged 99 seats out of 150 member body. It has to be noted that KTR lead the TRS campaign in the elections and his father announced this at an election meeting.
Few party sources said that this has to be the rise of KTR. On other hand, there has been some cold war popping between Irrigation minister Harish Rao and KTR too.
