Madras High Court today dismissed a petition which demanded another fresh postmortem of the students from SVS College of Naturopathy and Yoga in Villupuram district. All students were found dead in a well which is near the college. The incident took place on January 22nd. It was said that they committed suicide.

A suicide letter was also found. Immediately the college was shut down and Principal Vasuki was arrested. One of the victim, Saranya's father Ezhumalai who is a driver filed a petition seeking a fresh postmortem at Kilpauk Government Hospital in Chennai in the presence of a doctor of his choice.

The petition came soon after the Court ordered a second postmortem for another student Monisha. Judge R.Mala who heard the arguments said that the Original postmortem report was accepted by the family and they also buried Saranya's body without any objection.

Now a fresh postmortem will be difficult at this stage. The body would have been severely decomposed. The issue is getting bigger each day and now the case is handed to CID.
