United Kingdom has came up with a new strategy to attract Indian students. They have decided to increase scholarship for Indian students. The number of Indian students has decreased drastically for past few years in UK. This is a result of bogus colleges.
But British Government is attracting students by increasing scholarships. Andrew Soper who is Minister Counsellor (Political and Press) of the British High Commission met reporters in Kolkata and he said, "If you compare figures some four years back, they have been decreased drastically.
We are noticing that and the main reason due to this is bogus colleges. Now we are maintaining excellence and we have only bonafide institutes. We are slowly expecting an increase gradually.
On scholarship count, we were offering 59 undergraduate and 232 postgraduate scholarships across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We have also relaxed Visa process and if you have the legit documents you wll get Visa easily." A report says 20000 Indian students are studying in UK.
