A shocking report reveals that more than 5 Million people die earlier due to household and outdoor air pollution. India and China are alone responsible for 55% of these deaths. As per reports 1.6 million people died due to this air pollution in China and 1.4 million died in India.

The statistics was taken in the year 2013. International team of researchers from India, China, Canada and the US estimated that the numbers will reach new heights in coming years and more aggressive targets are expected.

The reports was presented at the 2016 annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in Washington, DC. Michael Brauer who is professor at University of British Columbia's School of Population and Public Health in Vancouver, Canada said,

"Air Pollution is one of the major risk factors and most of them die due to this pollution. Reducing Air pollution is the only way to improve the health of the population. Power plants, Vehicle exhaust and Burning of coal release small particles and they are harmful to health."
