In Chennai, 51 year old bus driver got heart attack while riding bus. But he kept his cool and he pulled over and stopped the vehicle. He saved at least 50 passengers from a mishap. He passed away the very next instant. He took his last breath at Maduravoyal.
The MTC driver name is Sarweshwaran and he worked on Koyambedu-Kancheepuram route. As the bus approached Maduravoyal market at 8.30am he got some chest pain and he immediately understood the seriousness. He stopped the bus by side of the road.
He was rushed to nearby hospital. But he was dead even before he could get some medical attention. Police officials who came to the spot said, "The bus left Koyambedu with 50 passengers by 8:25am. As the vehicle was passing through Maduravoyal, sarweswaran stopped bus on road side and told conductor and passengers that he is not feeling well.
He got down and walked few steps. But he collapsed soon." Doctors also confirmed that he had a massive heart attack. Police official said they are checking with MTC officials to see whether he was working over time or under any other stress.
