The state Government is looking financial help from centre for various programmes. NDA Government has now released only 25% of drought relief fund. Union Government has just sanctioned Rs.712 Crores and the state Government demanded Rs.3064 Crores. This amount was a huge disappointment.

Sources said after long wait, centre has decided to provide this amount. Now Official sources say that centre initially announced Rs.791 Crores as drought relief fund, but later they cut Rs.79 Crores and made it Rs.712 Crores.

A senior state Government Official said, "The state faced lots of financial crisis. Most of the districts in Telangana are facing water crisis and there is no fodder for cattle. We still expect more release of funds from the centre.

This amount is not going to help by any means. We demand more funds." Chief minister K.Chandrasekar Rao urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to release the entire Rs 3,064 crore apart from the amount already sanctioned.
