Assembly elections are round the corner and all parties are busy with various ideas to attract public. Recently DMK treasurer M.K.Stalin completed 'Namakku Naame' campaign and the party also kept alliance with Congress. Now the party has launched its 'Missed call campaign'.

The decision to launch this initiative was taken soon after Stalin conducted a meeting with his party members. Praveen Rajan who is DMK Party's youth district deputy organizer said, "This is a significant initiative. 50% of population in Tamil Nadu already registered their support.

Within 15 days all of them will be registered. The total figures will be revealed soon. As per campaign, the supporters are requested to dial 7220072200/ Then the supporters will get a call with a recorded message from DMK Chief M.Karunanidhi."

The message says, "Thanks for your support. Vote for us to put Tamil Nadu on the development track." Registered supporters also send a message that they will be updated with all party activities. But political analysts feel that this will not have any impact in terms of gaining votes.
