'Freedom 251' is the World's cheapest smart phone but now the phone is facing some problems mostly with a possible copyright infringement of Apple’s iconic iPhone. Buyers can purchase the phone for just Rs.251 from the company website and it was launched by BJP MP Murli Manohar Joshi and Madhya Pradesh legislator Omprakash Sakhlecha.
The built in icons on Freedom 251 is a copy of Apple's iPhone. The web browser app is clear copy off Apple's safari browser. The official website said the mobile will be already loaded with Swachh Bharat app, a women’s safety app, and YouTube, WhatsApp, and Facebook.
But none of the apps were pre loaded. Earlier the makers promised to deliver the phone on time. Now they say that the delivery may take up to 4 months as there was huge craze. e-commerce sites sell the same mobile for a price of Rs.4000.
Also the mobile promised a huge battery back up. But the real battery lasts just for 90 minutes. The biggest plus is the cost factor and the display screen.
