The newly built Amaravati city is not going to have a fairy tale ending any time soon. The final master plan for the 217 Sq.Km capital region Amaravati was revealed by Minister for Municipal Administration P.Narayana. Already lots of land were acquitted from farmers and so far farmers have no solution to it.
In this case, Mr.Narayana said, "We have made master plan for the new capital region. This was ready two months back. But we received some objections and suggestions from all stakeholders. We have incorporated them in the final master plan.
A team of officials from Singapore have made this master plan and they discussed the final details with us. Farmers who have given their lands under land pooling scheme will be given plots through draw of lots from 31st of March. Except in three villages, all farmers will be given plots in their own village.
The plot allotment process will be completed in 30 days In case of three villages, plots will be given to farmers close to their villages. GICC of China bagged the contract for designing roads in the capital region.
