Stage is now set for another round of electoral battle as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) will take on Congress and Telugu Desam Party , in Warangal, Khammam and Achampet municipal polls. Election Commission announced the poll schedule for Warangal and Khammam municipal corporations.
This also puts and end to two year wait for elections in three places. Simultaneous polls for civic bodies will take place on 6th of March and results will be announced on March 9th. TRS is once again expected to win this election as it swept every election in recent times.
Election Commission will release more notifications regarding the polls and the nominations were accepted from yesterday. The last date for submitting nominations will be 24th and it can be withdrawn till 26th. TRS Party and Congress party were expected to reveal their candidate list today.
TRS leads the pack with three consecutive victories in Warangal Lok Sabha by poll, GHMC elections and Narayankhed assembly by polls. Now TRS is confident of winning these two spots too.
