Directorate  general of civil aviation (DGCA) has suspended two pilots from Air India who operated Boeing. They hit a light pole at Mumbai Airport and due to this they were suspended. This collision took place yesterday and this never caused any damage or never hurt anyone.

But still aviation safety regulator took serious decision and the pilots were suspended. The pilots were driving Boeing 777-300ER and the flight had 447 people on board. As per airport sources, Pilots accused the air traffic control (ATC) official on duty of assigning a smaller taxiway which caused the collision.

As per sources, there are designated taxiways for single and double aisle planes. Usually narrow type aircraft alone travel in that lane. But as this Boeing was a jumbo plane the collision was inevitable.

A senior DGCA Official said, "Even if the run way is narrow, a senior pilot should have stopped the aircraft or must have the potential to go through it. At least they must have got the clearance." Airport authorities said that this has delayed the flight by two and a half hours.
