Political circles are abuzz that Rajya Sabha Member and veteran actor Chiranjeevi might leave Congress and join BJP at the earliest. When several BJP leaders, including National executive member Somu Veeraju are hinting at possibility of Chiranjeevi joining the party, the actor denies the news.
The actor clearly said, "There are lots of speculations that I am shifting my base towards BJP. I am not even thinking of leaving the Congress. I will be with Congress as long as I stay active in Politics."
But BJP leaders are constantly saying that talks are on at high level in New Delhi. A source said, "We are not going to reveal the exact thing. But right now talks are going in high command.
We cannot talk about this in public. We are planning to rope in Chiranjeevi because he is from the Kapu community and popular among the masses." Another source said, Chiranjeevi is also preferring to move to BJP as he is not getting the deserved respect in the party.
