After examining various options, the state government of Telangana seems to have finalised new locations for a secretariat complex, legislative assembly as well as council buildings and also a quarters for All India Service (AIS) officers.

In this regard, the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has reportedly finalized the 70-acre Chest Hospital premises in Erragadda locality for construction of the new assembly and legislative council buildings. Sources say that nearly 100 quarters for AIS officers will be built at Errumanzil where there is 30 acres of government available.

The new secretariat will be coming up at the current camp office of CM located at Greenlands. New set of works at the CM’s new camp office has already started close to the government properties located near the current camp office.

With the deletion of the Regulation 13 of Act 11975 now there is no heritage issue which may come in the way of demolition of Chest Hospital and also the construction of new buildings. It is expected to galvanize rivals once again!
