Smriti Irani recently got furious in Parliament regarding Rohith Vemula's suicide. The Union minister for human resource and development (HRD) took a hit against opposition parties and her speech got both praises and critics.
Now in this case, Shiva sena leader Manisha Kayande has said her statements were confusing and she could have avoided Durga ma's reference. Manisha said, "The kind of statements which is said by Smriti Irani s clearly confusing. First she said something, later she withdrew that.
The way this issue has been handled, it had several shortcomings and that is why its repercussions are felt in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. Also she could have avoided the reference to Lord Durga. That is completely out of context."
Earlier Irani said, "Police reached the hospital and when they went inside, they found the room open and the dead body was on the table. A hand written suicide note was on the table and the suicide note never blamed anyone. But his death was used as a political tool."
