YS Jagan Mohan Reddy already scored a big success in by-elections
before AP was divided. His party gained big wins in all the by-elections
that was held before 2014 elections. Now there are reports he is all
set for one more by-election battle.
Since the
disqualification petitions of defected MLAs are not expected to be
cleared by the AP Speaker, Jagan is all set to come up with a new idea.
He is planning for a no-confidence motion against Andhra Pradesh
Speaker in the AP Assembly.
Sources say that
Jagan would be issuing a whip to all his MLAs for voting against the
Speaker. If the recently defected MLAs vote against the party’s
decision, they will be automatically facing the axe and this would be
ensuring by-elections as soon as possible.
This
is indeed a very brave decision. If the opposition party gets any
adverse results in the by-elections, more MLAs will cross over from
party and even cadre will be demoralized. But if he wins, then Jagan
will be going ahead to face 2019 elections with more confidence!
