More than 1500 teachers from 630 Government-aided schools are yet to receive their salaries. It has been more than three months since they received their salary. Teachers complain that the delay in process has affected their day to day lives.

As per sources, Government has not released 50 Crores which are used to provide salaries for teachers in  government-aided schools. While the government releases salaries quarterly, teachers say that it failed to do so in the last quarter.

Regarding this T.Geetanjali who is State General Secretary of Telangana Aided Teachers' Guild said, "Salaries should have been released by December. But till date no teacher has got a single penny as salary from the Government. We have made lots of notifications and the Government is still providing muted response.

Most of the teachers have home loans, personal loans and others loans to be paid. The Quarterly system of salary is not beneficial as most of the teachers are preferring monthly wages to earn their daily bread. The delay in salary is causing more trouble. Also, without salary, how can teachers pay income tax?"
