The Air India Authority has said that it has flown a world’s lengthiest flight which is operated and run by women from the Capital city to San Francisco. The flight was operated to mark the International women’s Day and the journey covered a distance of 14,500 kilometers for nearly 17 hours.


The flight took off to San Francisco from New Delhi Airport on March 6th. The Airport Authorities have said that the Flight consisted of Cockpit workers to cabin workers, check in staff, a doctor, customer welfare officer and air traffic control team were handled entirely by women.


The Air India CMD Ashwani Logani has said that the flight was operated only by women staff’s and it is to honor the women on account of International Women’s Day. The Flight was under the control of Kshamta  Bajpayee and Shubangi Singh along with first officers Ramya Kirti Gupta and Amrit Namdhari.


The flight flew to San Francisco with nearly 3,800 employees including pilot, cabin crew, engineers, technicians, doctors, security in charge and some executives. The Air India has done this to strengthen women and to bring their credibility out.
