If you are in Chennai, you can witness Solar eclipse by early morning tomorrow. This Solar eclipse will last for 26 minutes and it is advised that it should not be seen through Naked eyes. Solar Eclipse occurs when Moon passes between Sun and Earth. The moon fully or partially blocks the Sun.


This happens only at New Moon, when the Sun and the Moon are in conjunction as seen from Earth in an alignment referred to as syzygy. Usually Solar eclipse happens two to five times a year. Some times this never even happens. A complete solar eclipse in India took place on January 15, 2010.


And this current year we can expect two more solar eclipses. The first solar eclipse is happening tomorrow. As per Indian Standard Time, this solar eclipse begins by 4:49am and ends by 9:08am.


This solar eclipse will be completely visible from Indonesia and Pacific Ocean. In most of the places in India, only 50% of Solar eclipse will be visible. In Chennai, the solar eclipse will be visible from 6.22am to 6.48am. In Vizag 28%, Tripura 15.1% will be visible.
