TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) once agian has showed its muscle by winning big in Municipal elections at Khammam and Warangal municipal corporations and Achampet municipality in Mahbubnagar district. After tasting huge victory in GHMC polls, TRS proved that they own the muscle in entire state and the win at GHMC and Narayankhed polls is not just by luck.


As per the recent reports, TRS has won 44 out of 58 seats in Warangal. Congress stands in second spot with three seats and BJP just managed to get one. Apart from them, eight independents have also won. In Khammam, there was a record polling percentage of 68%.


This is also the first election after the formation of Khammam Municipal Corporation. Even in Khammam, TRS won 34 out of total 50 seats and Congress bagged 10. The much hyped YSR Congress Party just managed to get two seats. 


Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) failed to open account in both the corporations. In Achampet Municipality, TRS made a clean sweep and won all the 20 wards. Even in Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) there was a record polling percentage of 58.6%
