Here after Government Offices will have new dress code. Khadi type dresses should be worn on Fridays as it is traditional way of dressing. The Government has ideas to increase the production of Khadi. The Khadi and Village Industries Commission have given a request to the employees to wear Khadi dresses.
Presently discussion is going on with the government and very soon approval will be given. KVIC Chairperson, VK Saxena has said that the employees can wear the outfits for one day alone and if one khadi dress is purchased certainly the sales will increase.
The central government has nearly 35 Lakhs employees excluding railways and defense services. An officer has said that wearing Khadi is good and many have welcomed the idea of wearing the traditional outfit. KVIC is having collaboration with Fabindia and Raymonds.
The PM is a brand ambassador of wearing khadi clothes. The KVIC has presently got a 40 crore tender from the railway department. Even JK cements have decided to change their uniforms to khadi base. Presently KVIC is seeking to move forward in the production of 7% levels in the recent years.
