When hostages are held by terrorists, they are slaughtered if their demands are not met. But one of the hostage was kept alive for more than 9 years. Former FBI  agent Robert Levinson went missing on the Iranian island and US Officials also closed his chapter stating that they have no clue about his whereabouts.

Former and current FBI agents think that Levinson is not alive. And as per their theory, if he stays alive, he remains in Iran. But others in US Government thinks that he is somewhere around. Earlier by 2010 Levinson's family was sent a hostage video and officials say that they came from Pakistan.

The family also received few pictures of Levinson in an Orange jumpsuit. Iranian Officials said that their Government also doesn't knew anything about Levinson during his time of disappearance. Now,  Secretary of State John F. Kerry marked the ninth anniversary of Levinson's disappearance and in a statement he said,

"US Government will continue all efforts to locate Bob and bring him back home safely. Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has offered full cooperation in this regard."
