Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that thousands of Crores will be saved through Aadhar System as Lok Sabha passed a bill. Union Finance Minister Jaitley further said, "The bill will empower the states to distribute resources of the State to deserving people and save the resources that undeserving people get.
And due to this bill, both Central and State governments cans ave thousands of Crores." The measure was adopted through means of voice votes. And Jaitley further said that Four states have already started PDS delivery on pilot basis and they have saved more than 2300 Crores.
This bill provides backing to Aadhaar scheme for transferring government subsidies and benefits. But the debate of Aadhar is still going on and Jaitley said the UPA Government approved a bill in September 2010.
And it was introduced in Parliament by December. The Summary of the bill said that it is necessary for good governance, efficient, transparent and targeted delivery of subsidies.
