Telangana Finance Minister Etala Rajender finally revealed State Budget for the financial year 2016-17. The budget was proposed with Rs.130,415.87 Crores expenditure and the non-planned expenditure was said to be Rs.62,785.14 Crores.

It is comparatively less in context with neighbouring state Andhra Pradesh. It seems both the Telugu states have realized the importance of giving up the game of one upmanship. The Finance minister speech lasted for more than one hour and he declared the budget was 'Unprecedented' as he proposed Plan expenditure is higher than that under Non-Plan.

This budget estimates indicate a revenue deficit of Rs.3,718.37 crore and a fiscal deficit of Rs.23,467.29 crore. After unveiling the budget, Finance Minister Rajender said that the the proposed plan expenditure in Telangana for 2016-17 is higher.

And this been a reality as they have cut down all wasteful expenditure. Apart from normal allocations, this time, two-bed room housing scheme is also proposed from extra budget resources. Also irrigation project gets huge allocation this year.
