The Tirunelveli City Collector M.Karunakaran has started the voter awareness campaigns such as video shows and photo display exhibition at the collectorate on Thursday. Such type of awareness is needed for the voter as they have the voting right to cast for the upcoming assembly elections.
The Election Commission of India has stresses 100 % of voting this year in the upcoming elections. So the collector of Tirunelveli district has organized the campaign at colleges, bus stands, villages and in places where people are seen in huge numbers.
The collector also said cultural programs, issuing of pamphlets, conduction skits, pasting of posters and voting awareness photo exhibition will be organized to give awareness to the public to cast their vote in the forthcoming election on May 16th.
Each and every Returning Officer has to perform the task of conducting voter awareness programs in the area and to reach the electoral in an effective fashion model. The collector said amount which is unaccounted for more than 50,000 will be seized and ex-servicemen will be appointed for the election related security arrangements for the upcoming assembly elections.
