The Hyderabad city doctors have said less duration of sleep also increases the problems like diabetes, hyper tension and heart ailments. The doctors have given the news as today is World Sleep Day. Experts have said present days many have less time to sleep because of increased working hours, no health awareness and excessive use of gadgets.


N.Nalini the pulmonologist of Continental Hospital has said due to heavy work burden people tends to have irritations, forgetfulness and health disorders. She has made a survey recently with the IT Professionals and had come to a conclusion that nearly 50 % suffer from sleep disorders.


It is said that because many have the habit of sleeping during day time and so they have the problem of sleeping disorders. If one feels tired and sleepy during morning meetings, conferences and other activities, when the problem is identified at the early stages will improve the sleeping style.


On account of World Sleep Day, the Westin Hotel in high tech city is giving a sleep well kit, which contains a pillow, sleep guide book, tea bags and white tea bath amenities. The most common among sleeping disorders is sleep apnea, which means interruption of breathing while sleeping. It is said those who suffer from sleep apnea, have the risk of diabetes, heart attacks and hyper tensions. According to WHO, one in one million individuals will suffer from sleep apnea and snoring.
