Recently the museum expanded its branches in New Delhi, Amsterdam, Bangkok, Beijing, Berlin, Blackpool, Hollywood, Hong Kong, Las Vegas, New York City, Niagara Falls (Canada), Orlando, Prague, San Francisco, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, Vienna, Washington, D.C., Wuhan, Tokyo and a temporary museum in Busan (Korea).
Now for this New Delhi museum, it will feature Aam Aadmi Party national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. Arvind Kejiriwal is now officially the first Indian Chief Minister to feature at Madame Tussauds. Soon a life size replica will be installed in London as well as in New Delhi museum.
This wax statue will be opened next year. The India partner of London’s Madame Tussauds, Wizcraft Entertainment International requested him to accept the invitation and they confessed that they need to honour him for his Political career. Sources said that Kejiriwal accepted their invitation and very soon a creative team of Madame Tussauds is expected to be in Delhi for measuring Kejriwal.
A source close from AAP said, "The tourism department has received an invitation to install Chief Minister Kejiriwal's life size statue and the Chief Minister accepted their proposal immediately. Delhi Government also waits for clearance to open a new branch in Delhi."
Already prominent celebrities such as Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Hrithik Roshan and Sachin Tendulkar have their own wax statues. Narendra Modi is the recent one to join this list.
