The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union President Kanhaiya Kumar has planned to address in a meeting for the students and the venue was changed from PB Siddhartha College to IV Place at Governorpet. According to the news from Akkineni Chandra Rao of All India Progressive Forum, the venue was changed due to some technical reasons.
There is no need to discuss the change the venue with the police officials and since the program was being organized at indoors, the police officials are very keen with the security arrangements as it is a public meeting and BJYM has planned to make some disruption.
The Students Organization of Joint Action Committee has warned the BJYM about the serious consequences when they made during the conduct of the program. The CPI State secretary has advised the BJP and other frontal organizations to express their opposition to the idea of Kanhaiya and others by organizing a separate meeting.
The meeting is organized as the students demand the arrest of the VC as he is in charge of the incident. The All India Democratic Women’s Association and the CPM State Secretary have also condemned the lathi charge on the UOH students and have urged immediate action against the vice chancellor.
