People cannot forget the high handed ways of MIM leaders and cadre. Many times their leaders Aasaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi made highly controversial and communal statements. Many times they have taken law into their hands and attacked their opponents. Cops however remained silent without taking any action as MIM is always close to the ruling party. Police acted against MIM leaders only on court directions.
Now it seems the same situation is repeating as cops are getting ready to dilute serious charges against MIM leaders. It is known that on GHMC poll day, Feb 2 MIM cadre and its MLAS atacked its opponents. Led by Owaisi they carried out multiple attacks carrying weapons.
Now police have filed a memo dropping serious charges like attempt to murder on the pretext of copuy cat statements by eight policemen which look pre determined. They only diluted charges and filed charge sheet stating “it is a case of causing hurt, intimidation and unlawful assembly“.
Investigating officer too declared that the accused didnot carry any arms like daggers, hockey stics and others.
