After the fresh boycott which is given by the Joint Action Committee for Social Justice which is leading the protest on Dalit Research Scholar Rohith Vemula’s suicide and the students have resumed in Hyderabad Central University after being suspended since March 23rd.


The Hyderabad Central university registrar M. Sudhakar has made an appeal to the students to attend the classes meanwhile the bail application of 25 students and two faculty members who were arrested before March 22nd violence will come for hearing on March 28th.


Many students have opposed Appa Rao’s return as the VC after two months leave, following the case of Vemula’s suicide and the students have vandalized the VC’s residence and have thrown stones on police and later the police lathi charged the students and arrested 25 students and two faculty members. The JAC has called for boycott of classes on all campuses in the country.


The JAC has demanded dropping of all charges against the students and faculty members and has urged of immediate removal of arrest of Appa Rao. The students have continued to attend classes as their problems will come to end, which was promised by the officials.
