Strange are the ways of law makers and male in general. Instead of acknowledging the psychological problem of males for the growing atrocities against women,they come with lame excuses. Politicians be it men or women come with senseless reasoning emboldening eveteasers and other criminals.
Now TRS MLA Konda Surkha came with her own way of dealing with eveteasing. In the assembly she called for doing away with skirts for girls in schools and added “Short skirts must be avoided in school uniforms. IInstead, a strict dress code must be introduced so that girls wear a dress like salwar kameez that is fully-covering,“
Justifying her suggestion she said it was necessary to curb the rise in eve teasing incidents. She also came with suggestions like setting up special courts,timebound disposal of cases, opening rowdy sheets against criminals etc.
Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy said strict measures will be taken and that include increasing number of SHE teams.Wonder how Telangana CM KCR will react as sometime back he thundered that he will pluckout the eyes of the eveteasers.
