If the central government gives fruitful news, a Bill to increase the number of seats in Assembly segments in AP and Telangana without changing the present number of Lok Sabha seats will be introduced in the ongoing parliament elections and the Bill will make amendments in the AP Reorganization Act.

The Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and M. Venkaiah Naidu have detailed consultations with the higher officials of the home, law and legislation ministers and have ordered them to take action to prepare an amendment with regard to the AP Reorganization Act, which has planned to increase the assembly seats in Telangana from 119 to 153 and in AP from 175 to 225.

Venkaiah Naidu has told the media people that the purpose of providing a separate section on the act is to increase the assembly seats and it was intended to complete the action before 2026. He also said that the center has come to the conclusion that enhancing the number of seats was based on the provision which was made in the bifurcation Act.

The Central government has said that if it obliges the Telangana state and Andhra Pradesh, same type of demands will also come from other states and especially those who are formed after bifurcation Act will seem to be changing.
